NOMADS ON WHEELS
As long as humanity exists, nomadic people exist. They lead an independent life on the road. Traditional Roma, camper folks, showmen and circus artists live and work their lives on a mobile basis. Wireless networks provided a new group: digital nomads, who works online, as long as they have an internet connection.
The project Nomads on Wheels focusses on people in Europe who travel, live and work on wheels. In this project I will be driving through Europe with a camper van to meet these mobile people and to document them in their natural surroundings. This to provide an answer to the question: is this way of living a trend or the future?
The project Nomads on Wheels concentrates on people that travels, live and work in a house on wheels. Why do nomads choose for their mobile life style?
In this project I will be driving through Europe with a camper van to meet these nomads and their specific life style. I will invite people to join the project by sharing their personal travel experiences.
Actions of my research:
- Documenting the living and working spaces of these nomads
- Sharing my daily experiences on the website nomadsonwheels.eu to enable followers on the internet to stay tuned
- Posting daily my experiences on Instagram and Facebook
- Bundling my findings and experiences in a roadbook to be published after the project
- Organizing lectures and exposition throughout and after the project
